She co-founded Hellokasyon, promoting sustainable travel, and Babayi, empowering Bicolano women through local craftsmanship. She also co-leads Tarabangan Bicol, a disaster response initiative supporting communities, especially children. Yani holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from UP Los Baños and a postgraduate diploma in Labor Relations from UP Diliman.
